The Charismatic Spark & Early Gatherings

1976–1977

The Dawn of Renewal

A wind of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) swept through Kerala, India—a coastal state rich in Christian tradition spanning three Catholic rites.

1976–1977

Youth Responding

Young people touched by this renewal began forming scattered prayer groups and youth fellowships.

1978

First Structured Gatherings

The Kerala Service Team (KST) organized the first Charismatic Youth Convention (with around 800 participants), sparking Bible camps and retreats.

1982–1983

Leadership Evolution

Specialized youth leadership training ("Know Yourself") and the first Kerala Youth Central Team (KYCT) emerged, along with initial outreach to children.

Sacraments

Frequent participation in the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation is the source of spiritual nourishment.

Fellowship

Evangelization

A commitment to share the Good News wherever we are—at school, work, or in our families.

Attitudes & Trends

Today's campus is defined by fierce career ambition, media saturation, and peer-driven lifestyles. Students are searching for identity and success in a hyper-connected yet isolating world.

Real Struggles

Beneath the surface, youth face intense academic pressure, identity crises, financial stress, broken relationships, and deep loneliness.

The Christian Answer

We present Jesus and the Holy Spirit as the ultimate guide and 'career consultant'. True purpose is found not just in a degree, but in discovering God's unique calling for your life.

"Christ is the answer to our deepest expectations... Do not be afraid! Open wide the doors to Christ!"

— St. Pope John Paul II
